For Rebecca, one of the joys of watercolour painting lies in keeping the balance between spontaneity and control, with skilful use of light and shade, soft and hard, transparency and opacity. She enjoys exploiting the qualities of the pigments themselves: staining, lifting, granulation and so on and she relishes the chance to share her enthusiasm for painting through her teaching.
This course will strengthen your approach to working in the landscape with watercolours and Rebecca will be covering such aspects as; choosing a subject, gathering information, refining composition, exploiting colour and the techniques of handling paint through colour mixing and tone balancing. Teaching will be by a combination of demonstration and one to one tuition. This course is geared for beginners as well as more experienced painters.
